Hi all, I converted a Rolife DIY Time Travel Book Nook Kit into a Harrypotter platform nine quarters book nook.

The kit comes with an instruction manual, the puzzle pieces , a light kit, glue, mini screwdriver and a few screws for the kit. The wooden puzzle pieces have A,B,C,D,E,F, G, H and I pieces. A mirror and a blue plastic sheet for the roof. The numbers are printed on the puzzle board , the pieces need to be removed from the board. Some pieces are delicate, we need to be careful while removing them. You can sand the pieces if they are not perfect. I used Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Crafting Glue. It was better than the glue given in the pack. This is clear glue.
As I am doing the pieces I will talk about the things that I enjoyed and the difficulties which I faced while doing this DIY kit. The kit says it’s for kids, I will not recommend this kit for kids under 12. I felt this for young adults and above (16+). It took me 8 hours to assemble the whole kit.
We needed to use glue and only the connection didn’t work. Now let’s move on to what I liked , the instructions were clear. The pieces were beautifully crafted. The kit looked so beautiful after the assembly it looked amazing.
Assembling the train was easy, it was not that difficult, once you got hold of the idea, I was able to do it fast, as both sides had to do the same thing.
The lighting system was difficult to add. Especially the roof assembly with the wires made it difficult.. The light initially worked for me but after I assembled it completely, the light didn’t work. I added my own lights!!!! It could have been a loose connection but I couldn’t do anything after the assembly.
To make the kit as Harry Potter themed, I used Wizarding World Harry Potter, Magical Minis Collector Set with 7 Collectible 3-inch Toy Figures, Kids Toys for Ages 5 and up. I was able to add Hermione and Harry potter inside the kit. I also bought Hedwig from Universal studio. I added Hedwig inside the cage.
I have listed all the products which I used while creating the kit. This is my first book-nook, these miniature kits are addictive. I am planning to do some more kits. Let me create a playlist.
